My inspirations!

This is Luke and Jedi. I have never met them but I love them. I love their hearts so much! I follow their adventures on Facebook and I am actually friends with Luke’s mom on Facebook. I love them all so much because they GET IT. They GET me. They GET Connor. Although we have never physically met each other, we are connected. It is a really crappy connection-the reason for it at least is, but it is a strong bond that I cannot even describe. Luke’s mom totally tells it like it is and I admire that immensely! Sometimes I try to down play Connor’s disease. I want him to be normal. I don’t want him to be treated differently but deep in the back of my mind-I know. I know he is not “normal.” He has to be monitored 24 hours a day/7 days a week. And not just watched so he doesn’t burn down the house or make sure he attempts to eat breakfast/lunch/dinner. But that’s a completely different topic that I will delve into someday. Back to the topic at hand-these people are my inspirations! Today is Luke’s 2 year “Diversary.” I hate that term but it is the best one I can think of for today. It means that Luke was diagnosed with T1D 2 years ago today. You rock Luke!!! Thank you for being such a Rock Star!!

Now, don’t be upset, A LOT of my friends and family try to get it and I appreciate it SO SO SO incredibly much! I never knew how much love we could receive from people until after Connor was diagnosed. Some of my friends even partially GET us too because everyone has struggles. Our struggles aren’t always harder than others. I don’t like comparing situations. All bad situations are bad. Just like all good situations are good!
